St. Brigid’s Transition
The main concern expressed by parishioners (35 percent) was whether it was possible to “fit-in” at St. Brigid’s, and families were particularly concerned about this issue.  This was followed by a shared concern among all parishioners about “the large size of the church, atmosphere in the church, and lack of community spirit at St. Brigid’s” (33 percent).   The third major category of concern related to the pastor / leadership at St. Brigid’s (24 percent), particularly for individual respondents.  Other Text Box: important. Several parishes in the Archdiocese opposed to the closing of their churches have contracted with a billboard company for 11 billboards located throughout the Boston area. The text of the message reads, "Thou shalt not close vibrant parishes."

The first billboards were planned to be put up around Boston on Friday, Oct. 22. If you would like to show your support for this project, please send your tax-deductible contribution (note “billboard” in memo portion of your check) to:

we have learned that a successful vigil requires help — specifically , your time, talent and financial support. Your time and talent are needed to help organize and take part in prayer services and com-munity activities. Your money will ensure we have funds to cover expenses for the buildings and costs associated with maintain-ing our beloved community.
